Reader’s notes
p. 140. Structure: the table is printed as two stacked panels sharing the same 10-column layout (stub + 9 data columns), each with its own repeated set of column headings. The headings are given once, from the upper panel (which covers the "Under Sec. 10(e) total" row only). The lower panel's headings (covering the 10(j) and 10(l) rows) are identical except that "Appellate Court" reads "District Court" in three headings ("Pending in District Court Oct. 01, 2007", "Filed in District Court fiscal year 2008", "Pending in District Court Sept. 30, 2008"), "Total proceedings" is set as "Total pro-ceedings" across a line break, and the lower panel's "Filed in District Court fiscal year 2008" heading carries a raised footnote marker 1 (the only reference to the printed footnote). The stub column has no heading in either panel. Apparent misprints, transcribed as printed: (a) row "8(b)(4)(B)", column "Granted" reads 10, although it is the only detail row under "Under Sec. 10(l) total", whose Granted cell is 1 (all the other 10(l)/8(b)(4)(B) cells match); 10 is very likely a misprint for 1. (b) The 10(j) detail rows do not sum to the "Under Sec. 10(j) total" line in the two left-hand proceedings columns: "Total proceedings" details sum to 19 vs. a printed total of 21, and "Filed in ... fiscal year 2008" details sum to 12 vs. a printed total of 18. (c) Row-wise, "8(a)(1)(3)" shows 7 total proceedings against 1 pending + 7 filed, and "8(a)(1)(3)(5)" shows 6 total proceedings against 1 pending + 0 filed. All six disposition/pending columns do foot correctly to the 10(j) total, so the digits in those columns are well corroborated; the questionable cells are confined to the "Total proceedings" and "Filed" columns of rows 8(a)(1)(3) and 8(a)(1)(3)(5). Nothing appears cut off by the crop; the caption and the footnote are both fully visible.
