Indented rows that are group subtotals ("Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, and Hunting"; "Mining, Quarrying, and Oil and Gas Extraction"; "Utilities"; "Construction"; "31-Manufacturing") are transcribed in the stub exactly as printed, without the indentation; heavier rules set them off in the image. The stub heading carries a raised "1" ("Industrial Group^1"), but no footnote text is printed on this page (the table runs "Page 2 of 5"), so `footnotes` is empty. Typesetting quirk: in the "Plastics and Rubber Products Manufacturing" row the last column's value, 516, is set one line higher than the rest of that row's figures (level with the label's first line, in the blank space above the Nonmetallic row's 282). It is the only unassigned value in that column and belongs to the Plastics and Rubber Products row; I have placed it there. The crop is a continuation page: it begins mid-section (no "Manufacturing" group header above the first row) and ends at "Food and Beverage Stores" with the table continuing onto the next page. Consequently the "32-Manufacturing" subtotal (109; 7,063 eligible) exceeds the sum of the four 32- rows printed here (75 elections; 5,973 eligible) because the earlier NAICS 32 industries (paper, printing, etc.) appear on the previous page. This is expected, not a misprint. The "33-Manufacturing" and "Wholesale Trade" subtotals do foot to the rows printed above them. Thin double rules separate each subtotal from the next section; they carry no text. The crop is page 3 of 5 of a table continued from earlier and later pages, so it begins and ends mid-list; the first rows (Health and Personal Care Stores, Gasoline Stations, Clothing and Clothing Accessories Stores) belong to the 44-Retail Trade group whose earlier members are on the preceding page, and the Information-sector rows at the bottom have no subtotal line on this crop. The stub heading carries a superscript 1, but no footnote text is printed within the crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Typesetting quirk: in the "Motion Picture and Sound Recording Industries" row the last column's value, 19, is printed one line higher (level with the first line of the two-line row label) than the rest of that row's figures; it is transcribed as that row's value for "Eligible employees in units choosing representation". Apparent oddities, transcribed exactly as printed and not corrected: "Rail Transportation" shows 20 employees eligible to vote but 30 total valid votes cast; "Sporting Goods, Hobby, Book, and Music Stores" shows 5 eligible but 7 valid votes cast. In both rows the internal vote splits do add to the printed totals (6+5=11, 11+19=30; 3+2=5, 5+2=7), so the discrepancy is between the eligible-to-vote column and the votes-cast columns. Two consecutive subtotal rows are both labelled "Retail Trade" (44- and 45-) and two more are both labelled "Transportation and Warehousing" (48- and 49-); this is as printed (NAICS sector codes). All four subtotals, and all column cross-sums within rows, check out arithmetically against the rows shown, which supports the column assignment.
