Reader’s notes

p. 82. Seven columns: stub, Total (with footnote marker 2), and five columns under the spanning heading "Identification of filing party" (AFL–CIO Unions, Other National Unions, Other local Unions, Individuals, Employers). The stub column has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty; "Total^2" spans both heading levels and is repeated. The six centered section lines ("All Cases", "Unfair labor practice cases^3", "Representation cases^4", "Union-shop deauthorization cases", "Amendment of certification cases", "Unit clarification cases") are printed as banners spanning the data columns; each is given as a label row with empty value cells. In the "Union-shop deauthorization cases" block, every cell in the AFL–CIO Unions, Other National Unions, Other local Unions and Employers columns prints a short dash rule ("--", meaning no cases); per the transcription rule for dash rules these are rendered as empty cells. Row labels repeat identically in each block (Pending October 1, 2007 / Received fiscal 2008 / On docket fiscal 2008 / Closed fiscal 2008 / Pending September 30, 2008); trailing leader dots were dropped. The image is clean and all printed totals cross-check (rows sum across, the five case-type blocks sum to "All Cases", and pending + received − closed = pending); no misprints detected.
