1,120 of 1,120 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.

Reader’s notes

p. 134. The crop cuts the table off at the bottom: the last transcribed row ("Petroleum and Coal Products Manufacturing") sits on the bottom edge of the image and the table continues beyond it, so no footnote texts are visible even though markers 1 (in the caption) and 2 (on the stub heading "Industrial Group") are printed. The caption's marker 1 is omitted with the caption; the stub heading's marker 2 is kept. Digit grouping is inconsistent in the original and is transcribed as printed: "1370" (Specialty Trade Contractors, All C cases), "1860" (Construction, All C cases) and "909" / "910" have no comma, while "1,604", "2,163", "1,160" and "1,037" do. The header has three printed bands: the spanners ("Unfair labor practice cases", "Representation cases"), the column codes, and a third band containing only UD / AC / UC under the three long right-hand headings; tall headings are repeated down the levels they span. Internal checks pass everywhere: in every row All cases = All C cases + All R cases + UD + AC + UC, All C cases = CA..CP, All R cases = RC + RM + RD, and each subtotal line (Agriculture…, Mining…, Construction, 31-Manufacturing) equals the sum of its member rows in every column. No cell was illegible.

p. 135. Continuation page: the caption carries "—Continued" and the body begins mid-section, so the "32-Manufacturing" subtotal (1,518 all cases) is far larger than the sum of the three detail rows printed above it on this crop (308 + 253 + 301 = 862); the remaining 32-sector detail rows are on the preceding page. The crop also ends mid-table at "Health and Personal Care Stores" — further rows and any footnotes printed under the table are cut off, so `footnotes` is empty even though the caption bears a ^1 marker and the stub heading a ^2 marker. Typesetting quirk, transcribed as printed and not normalized: the "All C cases" column omits digit-grouping commas on its four-digit values (1305, 2638, 1047), while the same magnitudes carry commas in the neighboring columns (1,518; 2,933; 1,131; 1,033; 1,863). Header structure: "Industrial Group^2" and "All cases" are tall headings spanning all three levels; "Union deauthorization cases", "Amendment of certification cases" and "Unit clarification cases" span the top two levels above their UD/AC/UC codes. Hyphenated line breaks repaired: "deauthor-ization", "Amend-ment", "certifica-tion", "Unit clari-fication". All interior arithmetic checks out (C-column components sum to "All C cases", and All C + All R + UD + AC + UC equals "All cases", for every data and subtotal row), which supports the column assignments. No illegible or doubtful cells.

p. 136. This is a continuation page of Table 5; the body begins mid-table (the first rows shown, "Gasoline Stations" and "Clothing and Clothing Accessories Stores", belong to the 44-Retail Trade group whose earlier rows are on the preceding page) and the table is cut off at the bottom of the crop after "Telecommunications". No footnote text is printed on this page, although footnote markers 1 (caption) and 2 ("Industrial Group") appear; the marker on "Industrial Group" is carried in the stub heading. Typography note on the "All C cases" column: the three subtotal rows print four-digit values without the usual digit-grouping comma — "1536" (48-Transportation and Warehousing), "2653" (Postal Service) and "3212" (49-Transportation and Warehousing) — while every neighbouring four-digit value in the same rows ("1,907", "1,039", "2,654", "1,884", "3,321", "2,291") does carry a comma. These are transcribed exactly as printed; they are not misread values, and each is arithmetically correct. All rows cross-foot internally: All C cases = CA+CB+CC+CD+CE+CG+CP, All R cases = RC+RM+RD, and All cases = All C + All R + UD + AC + UC, for every data and subtotal row. The two subtotal rows (48- and 49-Transportation and Warehousing) also equal the sums of the data rows above them in every column, which confirms the column assignment of each figure. The two subtotal lines labelled "44-Retail Trade" and "45-Retail Trade" are printed exactly that way (sector 44 and sector 45 both named "Retail Trade"); likewise "48-" and "49-Transportation and Warehousing". These are indented in the original; the indentation is not preserved in the cell text.

p. 137. Continuation page of Table 5; no footnote texts are printed beneath the table on this crop, although footnote markers 1 (caption) and 2 (stub heading "Industrial Group^2") appear — the note texts must be on another page of the table. Header is printed in three bands: the spanner band ("Unfair labor practice cases", "Representation cases"), the band carrying "All cases"/"All C cases"/CA...RD, and a lower band carrying UD/AC/UC under the tall headings "Union deauthorization cases", "Amendment of certification cases" and "Unit clarification cases"; tall headings are repeated down the bands they span. Typesetting inconsistency transcribed as printed: four-digit values in the "All C cases" column are set without a digit-grouping comma (1059, 1723, 2000, 1268, 2730) while the same magnitudes in the "All cases" and "CA" columns carry commas (1,141; 1,972; 2,337; 1,436; 1,149; 3,245; 1,281; 1,492; 2,217). All rows are internally consistent as printed: in every row the C columns sum to "All C cases", the R columns sum to "All R cases", and All C + All R + UD + AC + UC equals "All cases"; the sector-total rows (Finance and Insurance, Real Estate and Rental and Leasing, Administrative and Support and Waste Management and Remediation Services, Health Care and Social Assistance) also equal the sum of their component rows shown here, so no misprint is suspected. The rows "Information", "Finance and Insurance", "Real Estate and Rental and Leasing", "Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services", "Management of Companies and Enterprises", "Administrative and Support and Waste Management and Remediation Services", "Educational Services" and "Health Care and Social Assistance" are printed indented as sector subtotal lines; the "Information" subtotal exceeds the two detail rows shown because its other components fall on the preceding page. No cells are illegible or cut off.

p. 138. The crop is the final ("—Continued") page of the table, so the body begins mid-list; the earlier industrial groups are on preceding pages and the "Total, all industrial groups" line covers the whole table, not just the rows shown here. 17 columns: stub, "All cases", eight ULP columns (All C cases, CA, CB, CC, CD, CE, CG, CP), four representation columns (All R cases, RC, RM, RD), then UD, AC and UC. The three right-hand columns carry a third heading band (UD / AC / UC) that the other columns do not; those other headings were repeated down into that level per instructions. The indented, rule-bounded lines (Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation; Accommodation and Food Services; Other Services (except Public Administration); Public Administration) are sector subtotals of the detail lines above them; they are transcribed as ordinary rows. All printed subtotals were checked against their component rows and every one adds up, which supports the digit readings. No cell was illegible or doubtful; the footnote marker on the caption year (2007^1) belongs to the caption, which is excluded, and the stub heading carries marker 2.
