Reader’s notes

p. 122. Seven columns: stub, Total, and the five columns under the spanner "Identification of filing party". The stub column has no printed heading; "Total" is a tall heading spanning both heading levels. The seven case-type lines (CA cases, CB Cases, CC Cases, CD Cases, CE Cases, CG Cases, CP Cases) are centered section banners spanning the data columns, with no values; they are given with the label in the stub and empty data cells. Note the printed inconsistency in capitalisation: the first banner reads "CA cases" (lowercase "cases") while the other six read "Cases"; transcribed as printed. In the CA panel, "Pending October 1, 2006" Total is printed as "*10,804" with the asterisk preceding the figure; it is read as a footnote marker and written "10,804^*". The corresponding asterisk footnote text is not visible — the crop ends just below footnote 1, so any "*" note printed beneath it is cut off. The descenders of footnote 1 ("See Glossary of terms for definitions.") are clipped at the bottom edge of the crop, but the line is legible. Arithmetic check (not applied to the cells, only as a reliability check): in all 35 data rows the five filing-party columns sum exactly to the printed Total, and in each panel Pending Oct 1 + Received = On docket and On docket - Closed = Pending Sept 30. No misprints or doubtful digits were found.
