p. 160. The crop ends after the Wyoming row: the Mountain division subtotal and all remaining divisions/states continue beyond the bottom of the image, so the table is incomplete here. The stub heading carries a superscript 1 footnote marker, but no footnote text is printed within this crop (it presumably appears at the foot of the full page or on the continuation page), so `footnotes` is empty. Column-wise and row-wise arithmetic was checked against the printed subtotals for East North Central, East South Central, Island Areas and Middle Atlantic, and every column adds exactly as printed, so column assignment is well anchored. Two printed oddities, transcribed as printed and not corrected: Alabama shows 3,240 total valid votes cast against 3211 employees eligible to vote, and Montana shows 285 total valid votes cast against 283 eligible, i.e. votes cast exceed eligibles in both. (Both figures are internally consistent with their division subtotals.) Idaho's 2653 eligible employees and 2311 in units choosing representation are also far out of scale with its 631 valid votes cast and 4 elections, but again they are consistent with no visible subtotal here and are transcribed as printed. Hyphenated/wrapped headings were rejoined: "Total elec-tions" to "Total elections", "Number of elec-tions in which no rep-resenta-tive was chosen" to "Number of elections in which no representative was chosen", "Number of em-ployees eligible to vote" to "Number of employees eligible to vote", and "Eligible employ-ees in units choos-ing rep-resentat ion" to "Eligible employees in units choosing representation".

p. 161. 15 columns: stub plus 14 numeric columns, read off the column rules; the two spanner headings ("Number of elections in which representation rights were won by unions" and "Valid votes cast for unions") each cover four columns (Total, AFL-CIO unions, Other national unions, Other local unions). The stub heading carries a raised 1 ("Division and State^1"), but the footnote text itself is not printed within this crop (it presumably sits at the foot of the full page), so `footnotes` is empty. Suspected misprint, transcribed as printed: in the "Mountain" row, "Total valid votes cast" is printed as "4.301" with a decimal point where every other value in that column uses a comma; the row's own components (1,984 valid votes for unions + 2317 votes for no union = 4,301) suggest the intended value is 4,301. Formatting as printed, not normalized: the "Number of employees eligible to vote" and "Eligible employees in units choosing representation" columns carry no digit-grouping commas anywhere (e.g. 23173, 14336, 20222), while the other columns do. The "Mountain" row is also inconsistent with the rest of its column in "Total votes for no union", printed as "2317" without a comma where comparable values elsewhere (4,202; 7,717) have one. The crop is a continuation page ("—Continued"): it opens mid-table with the "Mountain" division total line (no member states of that division shown above it) and is cut off after "South Carolina", so the South Atlantic division total and any later divisions fall outside the image. The division subtotal rows ("Mountain", "New England", "Pacific") are set off by rules and indented in the stub, exactly as transcribed. All cells were legible; no doubtful digits beyond the "4.301" separator noted above.

"South Atlantic", "West North Central" and "West South Central" are indented division subtotal lines (set off by double rules), and the last line is the grand total. The source is inconsistent about digit-grouping commas: in the "Number of employees eligible to vote" column the values are printed without commas (1880, 1126, 20715, 7203, 4139, 152653), as are the values in the final "Eligible employees in units choosing representation" column (9489, 3256, 2219, 82086), while neighbouring columns do use commas. Transcribed exactly as printed. All arithmetic checks pass as printed: component columns sum to their totals in every row, and each division subtotal equals the sum of its listed States (West North Central and West South Central, whose members are fully shown here). No misprints detected; no cells were illegible.
