708 of 708 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.

Reader’s notes

p. 135. The crop cuts the table off after the "Utah" row: the Mountain division subtotal and the remaining divisions/states continue on the rest of the page, which is not in this image. Footnote markers appear in the caption ("Fiscal Year 2006^1") and in the stub heading ("Division and State^2"), but no footnote text is printed within the crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Header structure: 17 printed columns. Level 1 is the spanner band ("Unfair labor practice cases" over All C/CA/CB/CC/CD/CE/CG/CP; "Representation cases" over All R/RC/RM/RD); the three rightmost headings ("Union deauthorization cases", "Amendment of certification cases", "Unit clarification cases") are tall headings spanning levels 1-2 with their code abbreviations UD/AC/UC printed in the thin bottom band, so they are repeated per the spanning rule; the stub, "All cases" and the C/R code headings likewise span down and are repeated. Typesetting note (transcribed as printed, not normalized): in the "All C cases" column, four-digit values are printed WITHOUT digit-grouping commas (1271, 1331, 1362, 5060, 1095, 2771, 1236, 4970), while four-digit values in "All cases", "CA" and "CB" are printed with commas (1,555; 1,034; 1,307; 1,351). This is an inconsistency in the source page, not a transcription error. Arithmetic cross-check (for reader confidence only; nothing was computed into the grid): every state row satisfies All cases = All C + All R + UD + AC + UC, All C = CA+CB+CC+CD+CE+CG+CP, and All R = RC+RM+RD; all four printed division subtotals (East North Central, East South Central, Island Areas, Middle Atlantic) equal the sum of their member rows in all 16 numeric columns. No misprints detected.

p. 136. 17 columns: stub, "All cases", eight unfair-labor-practice columns, four representation columns, and UD/AC/UC. Three heading levels; "Division and State^2" and "All cases" span all three, and the UD/AC/UC spanner headings occupy levels 1-2 with the two-letter codes on level 3. This is a continuation page: the crop opens mid-table with "Wyoming" (last state of the Mountain division, whose preceding states are on the previous page) and is cut off at the bottom after "Georgia" — the South Atlantic division and its remaining states continue beyond the crop. The indented rows "Mountain", "New England" and "Pacific" are division subtotal lines, set off by rules. No footnotes are printed under the table on this crop; the raised 1 in the caption and the raised 2 on "Division and State" refer to notes printed elsewhere. Typesetting inconsistency, transcribed as printed: four-digit values in the "All C cases" column of the subtotal rows carry no digit-grouping comma (1303, 1166, 3813) while the neighbouring "All cases" and "CA" cells in the same rows do (1,469 / 1,001; 1,353; 4,434 / 2,792). Likewise California's 2588 in "All C cases" versus 2,955 and 1,836 beside it. No cells were illegible. As a check on column alignment I summed every row: each state's CA..CP add to its "All C cases", RC+RM+RD add to "All R cases", and All C + All R + UD + AC + UC add to "All cases"; the three division subtotals also equal the sum of their member states in every column. All reconcile, so no misprints are suspected.

p. 137. Continuation page: the body begins mid-table with Maryland, so the earlier states of the South Atlantic division (and the preceding divisions) are on the previous page. The caption carries footnote marker 1 and the stub heading carries marker 2, but only footnote 1 is printed under this crop; the text of footnote 2 falls outside the crop. Thousands separators are inconsistent as printed: several "All C cases" and "All R cases" figures are set without a comma (2588, 1308, 1435, 23091, 3351) while neighbouring figures in the same rows have one; transcribed as printed. In the total row two figures are broken across two printed lines by the narrow column ("16,88 / 7" in CA and "2,48 / 6" in RC); joined here as 16,887 and 2,486. All rows and columns cross-foot correctly, which supports the digit readings.
