Reader’s notes

p. 118. Seven columns: stub, Total, and five filing-party columns under the spanning heading \"Identification of filing party\". \"Total\" is a tall single heading occupying both heading levels; the stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading rows is empty. The seven case-type lines (CA cases, CB Cases, CC Cases, CD Cases, CE Cases, CG Cases, CP Cases) are centered section headings printed across the data columns with no values; they are given as label-only rows. Capitalisation is as printed: the first reads \"CA cases\" with a lowercase \"c\", the other six use \"Cases\". The asterisk printed immediately before 12,022 (row \"Pending October 1, 2005\", CA cases, Total column) is a footnote marker and is recorded as 12,022^*. Arithmetic check (not applied to the cells, only verification): in all 35 data rows the five filing-party cells sum exactly to the printed Total, \"On docket fiscal 2006\" equals \"Pending October 1, 2005\" plus \"Received fiscal 2006\", and \"Pending September 30, 2006\" equals \"On docket\" minus \"Closed\". No misprints detected. Crop truncation: a second footnote, marked \"*\" and keyed to the 12,022 cell, is printed below footnote 1 but is sliced horizontally by the bottom edge of the crop — only the upper halves of the letters survive, so it is omitted from `footnotes` rather than guessed. From the ascender pattern it very probably reads along the lines of \"* Total of cases pending Oct. 1, 200[5/6], differs from last year's annual report. Revised totals result from most recent adjustments to data.\", but this reading is tentative, the year digit in particular is indeterminate, and it should be re-captured from an uncropped scan of page 118.
