Reader’s notes
p. 200. Seven columns: stub, Total, and five columns under the spanner "Identification of filing party". "Total" is a tall heading spanning both heading levels, so it is repeated; the stub has no printed heading. "RC Cases", "RM Cases", and "RD Cases" are centred section lines spanning the data columns; they carry no values. Empty-looking data cells are printed as a short double dash ("--"), the report's mark for "not applicable" (the union/individual columns for RM cases, the Employers column for RC and RD cases); following the dash-rule convention they are transcribed as "". No cell in the body was genuinely blank, so no information is lost by this choice, but a reader wanting the literal glyph should know it is "--" rather than whitespace. The RC "Pending October 1, 2003" Total is printed as "*1,096"; the leading asterisk is a footnote marker, transcribed as "1,096^*". The text of that asterisk footnote is not visible in this crop. Footnotes are cut off by the crop: only the top of a superscript "1" (the marker referenced by the caption "Fiscal Year 2004^1") is visible at the bottom left edge, with no legible footnote text, so `footnotes` is empty. All row sums check against the printed totals in every row; no apparent misprints.
