The table also continues past the bottom of the crop: the body ends with the "Wholesale Trade" subtotal and the next industry section is not shown. Two cells in the "Number of employees eligible to vote" column are misprinted and are transcribed exactly as printed. "Electrical Equipment, Appliance and Component Manufacturing" shows "3557" with no digit-grouping comma, and "Transportation Equipment Manufacturing" shows "1,1701" with the comma one place too far left. Both are certainly 3,557 and 11,701: the "33-Manufacturing" subtotal of 30,034 for that column reconciles exactly only with those readings (3,661+4,682+2,178+492+3,557+11,701+492+3,271 = 30,034). The heading of the last column is set with end-of-line hyphens ("Eligible employ- ees in units choos- ing rep- resentati on") and has been rejoined as "Eligible employees in units choosing representation". Row labels "32-Manufacturing", "33-Manufacturing" and "Wholesale Trade" are printed indented as subtotal lines, set off by heavier rules; their wording is kept as printed. Suspected misprint: in the "Total, all industrial groups" row, the "Number of employees eligible to vote" cell is printed as "19,7585" (eight characters, comma after the second digit). It is almost certainly meant to be 197,585, but it is transcribed exactly as printed per instructions. All other digits in that row are clear. Rule structure: double rules set off the "Public Administration" subtotal, the "Unclassified Establishments" row, and the "Total, all industrial groups" row from the detail rows above them; these are kept as ordinary body rows.
