Reader’s notes
p. 166. The crop cuts off the bottom of the footnote block: only the raised marker "2" of a second footnote (referenced by the "By both parties" heading) is visible at the lower edge, with its text below the crop, so footnote 2 could not be transcribed. The table caption carries a raised "1" referring to the first footnote. Printed arithmetic that does not add up, transcribed as printed: (a) "All representation elections" — 97 + 167 + 6 = 270, one less than the printed total of 271 (the percentages 35.8/61.6/2.2 are consistent with a base of 271); (b) "RC cases" — 93 + 141 + 4 = 238 against the printed total of 239 (percentages consistent with 239); (c) "Regional Director-directed elections" — 61 + 62 + 3 = 126 against the printed total of 127 (percentages consistent with 127). All other rows are internally consistent. All cells are crisp and legible; no doubtful digits.
