146 of 146 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 132. Seven columns: stub, Total, and the five columns under the spanner \"Identification of filing party\". The stub has no printed heading, so its header cells are empty. The table is printed in six banner sections (\"All Cases\", \"Unfair labor practice cases\", \"Representation cases\", \"Union-shop deauthorization cases\", \"Amendment of certification cases\", \"Unit clarification cases\"); each banner is centered across the value columns and is transcribed as a label-only row. The same five stub labels repeat inside every section. All Cases / Pending October 1, 2002, Total column: printed as \"*24,682\" with a leading asterisk. I read the asterisk as a footnote marker and wrote it as 24,682^*; no asterisk footnote text appears on this crop. (The five filing-party cells sum to 24,682, consistent with the asterisk not being part of the number.) All Cases / Pending October 1, 2002, Individuals column: printed \"6555\" with no digit-grouping comma, unlike every other four-digit value in the table; transcribed as printed, apparently a typesetting slip for 6,555. In the Union-shop deauthorization section the four columns AFL-CIO Unions, Other National Unions, Other local Unions and Employers each hold a short double-dash rule \"--\"; these are rendered as empty cells. The caption carries footnote marker 1, and the section banners \"Unfair labor practice cases\" and \"Representation cases\" carry markers 2 and 3. Only footnote 1 is visible; the crop ends immediately below it, so the texts of footnotes 2 and 3 are cut off. No arithmetic problems found: in every one of the 30 data rows the five filing-party cells sum exactly to the printed Total, and the five section subtotals sum to the All Cases line for each of the five stub rows.
