Reader’s notes

p. 153. Two printed columns: the stub ("Action taken") and a single value column headed "Cases/ Amount" (wrapped on two lines in the original, joined here). The heading band is a single level spanning both lines, so one header row is given. Roman-numeral section lines (I, II, III, IV) and the sub-headings "B. Decisions in EAJA cases ruled on..." and "C. Amount of fees and expenses in cases listed in B, above:" carry labels only; their value cells are empty in the image. The roman numerals are set in a hanging indent to the left of the section text but are part of the row label, so they are kept with it. Typesetting detail: the dollar figures for "Recovered" under I.C and for "C. Amount of fees and expenses recovered" under III are printed with an alignment space after the dollar sign ("$ 22,406.00", "$ 10,000.00"); transcribed here without that space, consistent with the rule for spaces inside numbers. The "Claimed" figure is printed with no such space ("$401,232.00"). Section III's heading is printed without a trailing colon, unlike I, II and IV; transcribed as printed. The long label under II.C wraps onto three printed lines ("...(includes / fees recovered... / of fee amount)") and is joined into one row; the original has a double space in "of fee amount)", normalized to a single space. Internal consistency as printed: item I.A reports 3 applications filed while I.B reports 1 granting plus 9 denying decisions (10 decisions); this is transcribed as printed and not reconciled, since EAJA decisions in a fiscal year need not come from applications filed that same year. No footnotes are printed under this table, and nothing appears cut off by the crop; the bottom rule of the table is visible below the final row.
