Reader’s notes

p. 153. Two printed columns: the stub ("Stage") and "Median days". The roman numerals I. and II. sit in a far-left indent position of the stub with no column rule separating them, so they are kept as part of the row label. Apparent misprint in the source: the caption dates the pending-case data "September 30, 2002", but every pending-case section line in the body (I.B, I.C, II.B, II.C) reads "September 30, 2001". Transcribed as printed. Section/heading lines I., A., B., C., II., A., B. and "6. Filing of petition to—" carry no value; row II.C is a section-style lettered line that does carry a value (46), as printed. Apostrophes are rendered as plain ASCII apostrophes; the original mixes typographic and straight forms (e.g. "judge's" in I.B is set with a straight apostrophe). No footnotes or footnote markers appear under the table.
