Reader’s notes

p. 149. The page prints this one table as two stacked blocks, each with its own copy of the column head, so the grid has 10 columns throughout. The upper block (heading set transcribed in header_rows) holds the single row "Under Sec. 10(e) total" and names the court in three headings as "appellate court": "Pending in appellate court Oct. 01, 2001", "Filed in appellate court fiscal year 2002", "Pending in appellate court Sept. 30, 2002". The lower block, which holds all the remaining rows (10(j) and 10(l) and their subsections), repeats exactly the same head except that those same three headings read "district court" instead: "Pending in district court Oct. 01, 2001", "Filed in district court fiscal year 2002", "Pending in district court Sept. 30, 2002". The other seven headings are identical in both blocks. Only one heading set can be given here, so the upper (appellate) wording is the one recorded. In the printed head, "Total proceedings" (col. 1) appears to sit in a cell running the full height of the head, outside the "Injunction proceedings" span, so it is repeated in both heading levels; the rule work there is faint and it could instead be a second-level heading under a blank top cell. "Total pro-ceedings" and "Total dis-positions" are printed hyphenated across lines and are joined here. The crop ends immediately below the "8(b)(4)(D)" row, but no rows appear to be missing: every column of the 10(j) block sums from its five subsection rows to the printed 10(j) total, and every column of the 10(l) block sums from its three subsection rows to the printed 10(l) total; in all three blocks Total proceedings equals pending + filed, and pending at Sept. 30 equals total proceedings minus total dispositions. No footnotes are printed under the table.
