Reader’s notes

p. 162. Grid is 17 columns: the stub plus four column groups (All R, RC, RM, RD) of four columns each; "Elections conducted" spans all four columns of every group. This is a single table with one stub column, not side-by-side panels. Dash cells: in the image, most cells of the indented "Rerun required" / "Runoff required" rows (and all four columns of those rows outside the "Resulting in a rerun or runoff" column) carry a printed double-hyphen dash "--" rather than a number. Following the rule that a cell holding only a dash rule is empty, every one of those "--" cells is transcribed as "". The only values printed in those rows are the counts under each group's "Resulting in a rerun or runoff" column, and in some groups even that cell is "--" (e.g. Board-directed under RC, RM, RD; Expedited under RC and RD; Consent under RM and RD), which is likewise rendered "". Row labels "Regional Director–directed", "Board–directed" and "Expedited–Sec. 8(b)(7)(C)" are printed with an en dash, reproduced as such. The footnote line sits at the very bottom edge of the crop and its descenders are clipped, but the text is fully legible and is transcribed in full. All figures cross-check: for each of the four measure columns, RC + RM + RD equals the All R figure, and the Consent + Stipulated + Regional Director-directed + Board-directed + Expedited rows sum to the "All representation elections" line; the rerun/runoff sub-rows likewise sum down each group. No apparent misprints.
