Reader’s notes

p. 148. The crop ends after the "Region VI" subtotal line; the table continues onto the following page (Regions VII-X and a grand total are not on this image). Footnote markers are referenced on this page (a raised 1 on the caption, a raised 2 on the stub heading "Standard Federal Regions"), but no footnote text is printed within the crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Header structure: three heading levels. "Unfair labor practice cases" spans the 8 columns All C cases through CP; "Representation cases" spans All R cases through RD; "All cases" and the stub heading are tall single headings repeated down the levels. The last three columns carry a two-part heading, the spelled-out name (Union deauthorization cases / Amendment of certification cases / Unit clarification cases, printed with end-of-line hyphens as "deauthor-ization", "Amend-ment", "certifica-tion", "clari-fication", rejoined here) over the abbreviations UD / AC / UC on a separate rule-separated level. Typesetting inconsistency (transcribed as printed, not normalized): in the region subtotal rows the "All C cases" and "All R cases" figures are set without digit-grouping commas (1490, 5161, 3092, 3326, 6558, 1819; 1021, 1362) while the neighbouring columns in the same rows do use commas (1,180; 3,618; 1,084). The Region V "RC" subtotal 1,084 does carry a comma, unlike the other four-digit subtotals in that block. "District Of Columbia" is printed with a capital O in "Of"; kept as printed. All rows and columns cross-foot exactly (each state's All C cases equals CA+CB+CC+CD+CE+CG+CP, All cases equals All C + All R + UD + AC + UC, and each region subtotal equals the sum of its states), so no suspected misprints and no doubtful or illegible cells.

p. 149. 17 columns. The crop continues Table 6B from the preceding page, beginning mid-table with Region VII's States; the column headings are reprinted on this page, so header_rows is filled. Header spans: "Unfair labor practice cases" spans the eight columns All C cases through CP; "Representation cases" spans All R cases through RD. The three rightmost headings ("Union deauthorization cases", "Amendment of certification cases", "Unit clarification cases") occupy the top two heading levels and sit above the single-level codes UD, AC, UC. The stub heading and "All cases" span all three levels. Hyphenated line breaks repaired: "deauthor-/ization" -> deauthorization, "Amend-/ment ... certifica-/tion" -> Amendment of certification, "clari-/fication" -> clarification. The stub heading carries footnote marker 2, but only footnote 1 is printed under this portion of the table; footnote 2's text must appear on the earlier page of the table. Footnote marker 1 also appears in the caption, which is excluded per instructions. Typesetting of thousands separators is inconsistent in the source and is transcribed as printed: the "All C cases" and "All R cases" columns omit commas (1317, 4423, 1038, 3303, 28974, 5659) while neighbouring columns use them (1,612, 3,862, 21,938, 4,570). No arithmetic was altered. As a column-alignment check, every region subtotal and the grand total reconcile exactly with their components as transcribed (e.g., Region IX All C cases 4423 = 3,409+887+70+32+5+1+19; Total all cases 35,021 = 28974+5659+103+37+248), so I am confident each value sits under the right column. No illegible or doubtful cells.
