They are: the Employers column in all five RC rows and all five RD rows, and the AFL-CIO Unions / Other national unions / Other local unions / Individuals columns in all five RM rows.\n\nThe asterisk on the RC \"Pending October 1, 1999\" total is printed to the left of the figure (*1,384); it is a footnote marker, so it is written as 1,384^*.\n\nThe second footnote (the asterisk note) is clipped by the bottom edge of the crop: only its first line is partly visible and the tail of that line and any following lines are cut off, so the wording given is incomplete and the portion after \"previous year's report\" is not recoverable from this image. Faint cut-off text at the far right of that line appears to continue with something like \"Revised totals ...\", but it is not legible enough to transcribe.\n\nAll internal arithmetic checks (row and column) are consistent as printed; no suspected misprints.
