The crop ends just below the "Construction" row; the table continues on the lower part of the page (and the numbered footnotes referenced by the caption's "1" and by the stub heading "Industrial groups^2" are not printed within this crop, so `footnotes` is empty). Header: the last three columns carry a tall two-level heading ("Union deauthorization cases" / "Amendment of certification cases" / "Unit clarification cases") with the code line "UD" / "AC" / "UC" printed beneath a rule; the "All cases" column and the C/R code columns have no third-level entry, so their level-2 headings are repeated into level 3 to keep the grid rectangular. "Amend- ment of certifica- tion cases" and "clari- fication" were rejoined across their end-of-line hyphens, as were "transport- ation" (Fabricated metal products) and "photogra- phic" (Measuring, analyzing...). Printed-as-is oddities: the row "Mining and quarrying of nonmetallic minerals (except fules)" reads "fules" in the original — an apparent misprint for "fuels", transcribed as printed. The label "Ship and boat building and repairing." is followed by a period before the leader dots; the period was dropped with the leaders. Arithmetic check (not applied to any cell): every data row's C-case components sum to its "All C cases" figure, its R components to "All R cases", and All C + All R + UD + AC + UC to "All cases"; the Manufacturing, Mining, and Construction totals also reconcile column by column. No discrepancies found. No cells were illegible.

Continuation page of Table 5; the earlier industrial groups (agriculture through wholesale/retail section headings) are on the preceding page, so the first four rows here have no section heading above them and the rows are indented exactly as printed. 17 printed columns; the last three single columns carry two heading levels (the spelled-out heading over the UD/AC/UC letter codes). Suspected misprint: "Miscellaneous services", column "All cases" is printed 1,760, but the row's own components sum to 1,761 (1,514 + 234 + 2 + 0 + 11), and the "Services" subtotal of 10,078 in that column also requires 1,761. Every other cell of that row and every other column of the Services subtotal check out exactly against both row and column sums, so 1,760 is either a printing error or a very faint final digit; transcribed as printed. I read the digit as 0 on two passes. "Miscellaneous services", column CA is printed as 1251 with no digit-grouping comma (all neighbouring four-digit values in that column carry a comma); transcribed as printed. Its value is confirmed as 1,251 by the CA column sum to the printed Services subtotal 6,190. Row label "Amusement and recreation services (exception motion pictures)" is printed with "exception"; this is almost certainly a misprint for "except", but it is transcribed as printed. All other row and column sums I checked (the Transportation/communication subtotal, the Services subtotal, and the grand total) reconcile exactly with the printed figures.
