Reader’s notes

p. 168. The scan drops nearly every period in the image (footnote sentences run together, and the percent columns read as "79 4", "20 6", "81 0", "19 0", "50 0", "79 1", "20 9", "80 6", "19 4"). These are decimal points in the printed original, so the percent cells are transcribed with a decimal point (e.g. 79.4) and the footnote sentences with their terminal periods; no digits were altered. The percent columns are consistent with the printed counts (e.g. 149/184 = 81.0, 29/36 = 80.6), which supports the decimal-point reading. Percent cells printed as a dash rule ("----", for rows whose "Objections ruled upon" is 0) are transcribed as empty. The stub column has no printed heading, so the stub cells of both heading levels are empty. The footnote marker 1 attached to "Fiscal Year 1998" appears only in the caption, which is excluded.
