Reader’s notes

p. 160. Three columns: stub, "Number of cases", "Percent of total closed"; one heading level. The scan is a coarse 1-bit image in which periods and other small marks frequently drop out, so every value in the percent column prints as e.g. "100 0", "35 4", "0 6" with a gap rather than a visible decimal point; I have written them with the decimal point (100.0, 35.4, 0.6, etc.), which is the printed convention for this column and is confirmed by the arithmetic. Row labels likewise show faint or missing dots and dotted i's (e.g. "dısposıtıon", "notıce") — ordinary degradation, transcribed with normal spelling. The dash in "Agreement of the parties-informal settlement" is printed as a short rule and may be an en dash in the original. In the "After opening of 10(k) hearing..." rows under Withdrawal and under Dismissal, the figure 1 in the "Number of cases" column is printed thin/broken (and a stray ink speck sits to its left in the Withdrawal row), but 1 is confirmed by the section totals. All sections check: 49+11+3=63, 66+5+1+0=72, 32+5+1+0=38, and 63+5+72+38=178. The caption carries footnote marker 1, which keys the single footnote; the caption itself is omitted as instructed.
