p. 158. 15 columns: stub, "Total elections", four columns under "Number of elections in which representation rights were won by unions", then three tall single columns, four columns under "Valid votes cast for unions", then "Total votes for no union" and "Eligible employees in units choosing representation". The crop is cut off at the bottom: the "North Dakota" row is the last line and its baseline is clipped by the crop edge (all of its figures are still legible, all zeros), and the table continues onto further states, division totals and the West North Central subtotal below the crop. The region-subtotal rows (New England, Middle Atlantic, East North Central) are printed indented in the stub and set off by rules; they are transcribed with their own labels as printed. Stray ink marks, read as specks and not transcribed: New York, "Total valid votes cast" prints as ".583" with a dot-like speck before the 5 — transcribed as 583 (583 = 266 + 317 matches the row's for-unions and no-union split). New England, "Total votes for no union" has a small dash to the left of 432. Middle Atlantic, "Total" under elections won by unions has a small dash above 22. The stub heading carries a raised 1 footnote marker ("Division and State^1"), but the footnote text itself falls below the crop and is not on this image, so `footnotes` is empty. Arithmetic checks pass throughout (won + no-representative = total elections; union-total = AFL-CIO + other national + other local in both the elections and the votes blocks; for-unions + for-no-union = total valid votes cast; and the three division subtotals equal the sums of their states in every column), so no misprint is suspected.

p. 159. The crop is a continuation page: the caption line is cut off at the top and the body is cut off at the bottom — the table continues past the "Colorado" row (the Mountain-division states and later rows are not on this image), and the final rule under "Colorado" is missing. The footnote text for the marker on the stub heading "Division and State^1" is not printed on this crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Doubtful cell: "Tennessee", last column ("Eligible employees in units choosing representation") reads as a single digit 9, which is implausibly small beside 1 election won and 136 union votes; it is transcribed as printed and may be a misprint or a value whose leading digits failed to print. Subtotal rows ("West North Central", "South Atlantic", "East South Central", "West South Central") are indented italic-style division totals set off by rules; they are kept in reading order. Note that "East South Central" is printed immediately above "Arkansas" with no blank band between them, unlike the other division totals. The heading rendered here as "AFL-CIO unions" is printed with an en-dash ("AFL–CIO"). Scattered stray ink specks (e.g. a dot left of the "Other national unions" cell on the Nebraska and Kentucky rows, and above the Florida/Georgia "Other local unions" cells) are printing artifacts, not footnote markers or digits.

The crop is a continuation page: the table begins on an earlier page, so the Mountain division's first States (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado) are not on this image — the printed "Mountain" subtotal (16 elections) therefore exceeds the sum of the four Mountain States shown here (5). Column headings are printed on this image, so they are given. One footnote line is printed below the table but is sliced by the bottom edge of the crop: only the lower halves of the letters survive, ending in something like "...by the Bureau of the Census, U.S. Department of Commerce." Because it cannot be read with confidence, it is not transcribed; the marker "1" on the stub heading "Division and State" refers to it. Stray ink marks, not digits: a small dot/dash sits just left of "177" in the New Mexico row (Number of employees eligible to vote), and a comma-like speck sits just left of "278" in the Total, all States and areas row (Number of elections in which no representative was chosen). Both values are transcribed without them. All printed subtotals and the grand total are internally consistent where checkable (e.g. Pacific = sum of Washington through Guam; 7,664 = 7,033 + 205 + 426).
