Reader’s notes
p. 144. Nine columns: stub plus four two-column blocks (Number / Percent by type). The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both header levels is empty. Doubtful cell: row "All representation elections", column "Union certified / Percent by type" prints as "33" with no visible decimal, unlike every other percent cell in the table, which carries one decimal place (29/88 = 33.0). A faint or broken ".0" may have dropped out in the scan; transcribed exactly as it appears. Em-dash rules ("———") stand in the Percent-by-type cells wherever the corresponding Number is 0, and in all percent cells of the two all-zero rows; these are rendered as empty cells per the convention. The heading "Total rerun elections" carries a raised 2, but footnote 2's text is not printed within the crop (only footnote 1 is visible, at the very bottom edge and slightly clipped but legible). The caption's superscript 1 is omitted with the caption. Row labels joined across printed lines: "All representation elec-/tions" and "Regional Director-directed/elections"; the hyphen in "Director-directed" is a true hyphen, not a line break.
