Reader’s notes

p. 135. Three printed columns with a single heading level; the stub heading "Method and stage of disposition" spans the full stub column. The footnote marker 1 is attached to the caption (fiscal year) only, which is excluded per instructions; no in-body markers appear. The table has four major method blocks (Agreement of the parties—informal settlement; Compliance with Board decision and determination of dispute; Withdrawal; Dismissal), each separated by a double rule, with indented stage rows beneath the first, third and fourth. Three of the stage labels wrap onto two printed lines with an end-of-line hyphen in "dis- pute"; these were joined to "...determination of dispute". Several indented stage labels repeat verbatim across blocks ("Before 10(k) notice", "After 10(k) notice, before opening of 10(k) hearing", "After opening of 10(k) hearing, ..."); this repetition is as printed, not a duplication error. In the "After 10(k) notice, before opening of 10(k) hearing" row of the Agreement block, the value reads 18 with a stray ink dot beneath the digits (a scan speck, not a decimal point or marker); 18 + 57 + 0 = 75 confirms the block total, so 18 is read with confidence. Arithmetic check (not corrected, for reader information): the number-of-cases block totals 75 + 1 + 54 + 38 = 168, matching the printed total. The percent column sums to 99.9 rather than 100.0 (44.6 + 0.6 + 32.1 + 22.6), consistent with ordinary rounding; all values are transcribed exactly as printed.
