741 of 741 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.

Reader’s notes

p. 129. The crop is cut off at the bottom: the table continues past "North Carolina" (the last row sits on the bottom edge, with its digits only partly inked but legible, and no Region IV subtotal is shown). Footnote markers 1 (on the caption) and 2 (on the stub heading "Standard Federal Regions") are printed, but the footnote texts fall below the crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Column structure: 17 columns — stub, "All cases", eight columns under "Unfair labor practice cases" (All C cases, CA, CB, CC, CD, CE, CG, CP), four under "Representation cases" (All R cases, RC, RM, RD), then the three single-column headings whose abbreviations UD, AC and UC are printed on a third header line. Blank gaps separate the region blocks (after each "Region" subtotal); these are typographic spaces, not labeled rows, so no empty rows are included. All visible subtotals (Region I, II, III) add up to their component states in every column, which supports the digit readings. Minor ink artifacts that are not footnote markers: a stray speck above "CE" in the header, a speck above the Delaware row, and a small mark after "0" in Maine/CG and Massachusetts/CG — these were read as plain values.

p. 130. The crop is a continuation page ("—Continued" in the caption), so it opens mid-section: South Carolina and Tennessee are the last two states of Region IV, whose subtotal row therefore cannot be checked against the states shown here (the rest are on the preceding page). The table also runs past the bottom of the crop: the Colorado-through-Wyoming block ends without its Region VIII subtotal, and no footnote texts are printed on this image even though markers 1 (caption) and 2 (stub heading "Standard Federal Regions") refer to them. Column structure: 17 columns. The stub heading and "All cases" are tall single headings spanning both heading levels; "Unfair labor practice cases" spans the eight columns All C cases through CP, and "Representation cases" spans All R cases through RD. The three rightmost group headings ("Union deauthorization cases", "Amendment of certification cases", "Unit clarification cases") each sit over a single code column (UD, AC, UC); their codes are printed at staggered heights but are all second-level headings. Verification: every state row's detail columns sum to its printed "All C cases" and "All cases" totals, and the Region V, VI and VII subtotal rows sum exactly from their constituent states across all 16 numeric columns, with no discrepancies. No suspected misprints. The scan carries stray specks (e.g. a mark near "All R cases" in the header and scattered dots in the body); none obscured a digit. In the UD column, several zeros sit beside a stray dot (South Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma rows) — these are print noise, not footnote markers, so the cells are plain "0". The Oklahoma AC cell is a 0 overstruck by a speck, read as "0".

p. 131. The table is printed sideways on the page; the crop is the upright rendering. The crop continues a table from the preceding page: the first body line is the "Region VIII" subtotal, whose constituent State rows are not on this image, and no caption is shown. Footnote 1 sits on the bottom edge of the crop and its last line is partly clipped, though still legible; a footnote 2, referenced by the superscript on the stub heading "Standard Federal Regions", is not visible on this crop (it would fall below the cut). Scan speckle, not part of the figures: a stray dot before "25" (Idaho, RC), a comma-like mark after "297" (Region X, RC), a dot before "966" (Washington, All cases), a dot before "245" (Oregon, CA), a dot before "180" (Total, CD), a dot before "6,673" (Total, CB) and a dot before "33,436" (Total, All C cases). Light dotted artifacts also appear in the empty stub area between row blocks. All figures cross-check arithmetically as printed: in every row CA+CB+CC+CD+CE+CG+CP equals All C cases, RC+RM+RD equals All R cases, and All C + All R + UD + AC + UC equals All cases; each State block sums to its Region line (Arizona-Nevada to Region IX, Alaska-Washington to Region X); and the three Region lines plus the Regions on earlier pages are consistent with the grand total line. No misprints detected.
