Reader’s notes

p. 174. Two printed columns: the stub "Stage" and "Median days"; a single heading level. No footnotes are printed under the table. Suspected misprints, transcribed exactly as printed: (1) row "II. A. 1. Filing of petition of notice of hearing issued" — "of notice" appears to be a misprint for "to notice" (compare the parallel wording of the other stage rows); (2) row "II. B. Age of cases pending Board declsion, September 30, 1996." — "declsion" is printed for "decision" (the broken "i" is clear in the scan). Row labels are indented in the original to show hierarchy (roman-numeral sections, lettered subsections, numbered stages, and lettered sub-stages a/b under "6. Filing of petition to—"); the indentation is not reproducible in the grid, so the numbering in each label carries that structure. Section and subsection lines that carry no value (I., II., A. Major stages completed—, B./C. age-of-pending headings, and "6. Filing of petition to—") have an empty "Median days" cell, exactly as printed. Trailing periods after the September 30, 1996 subsection labels are as printed; the final row "C. Age of cases pending Regional Director's decision, September 30, 1996" has no printed period before its leader dots. All digits are clear; no doubtful or illegible cells.
