Minor scan artifacts: stray specks/dots appear in a few cells (e.g. a mark left of New York's "Other national unions" 0, faint dots over Maine/New Hampshire's "Total valid votes cast" and "Valid votes cast for unions, Total" entries, and a dot near Missouri's "Number of elections in which no representative was chosen"); these were read as noise, not digits or decimal points. Rhode Island's "Total elections" is a 1 set in a serif form that resembles a lowercase l.

This is a continuation page: the table begins on an earlier page (it opens mid-way through the West North Central division — only South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas appear above that division's subtotal) and runs past the bottom of the crop. The last transcribed row, Wyoming, sits on the bottom edge of the image; its row of zeros is legible but the baseline is slightly clipped, and the Mountain division continues below the crop. The page is a "—Continued" portion of Table 15C, so the Mountain division is only partly shown: the states printed above the crop (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, etc.) are on the previous page, and the Mountain subtotal row therefore exceeds the sum of the five Mountain states listed here (e.g. Total elections 36 vs. 23 shown, elections won 8 vs. 7 shown). This is expected for a continuation page, not a misprint. The Pacific, Outlying Areas, and grand-total rows do reconcile internally with the rows printed on this page. "AFL-CIO" is set with a long hyphen/en-dash in the headings ("AFL–CIO"); transcribed with a plain hyphen. Subtotal and total row labels (Mountain, Pacific, Outlying Areas, Total, all States and areas) are printed indented; indentation is not represented in the cells. A stray ink speck appears beside the Virgin Islands "Other local unions" value, which is a printed 0.
