The asterisk in the Total column of the three "Pending October 1, 1995" rows is printed as a raised marker immediately before the figure (*1,743, *94, *398); it is transcribed after the value as ^*. Cells shown as a long dash rule (the em-rule entries in the Employers column for the RC and RD blocks, and in the five filing-party columns for the whole RM block) are transcribed as "". Printed zeros are kept as 0. The heading reads "AFL-CIO unions" with a short dash between AFL and CIO (rendered here as a hyphen). All row and column arithmetic in the image is internally consistent (component columns sum to Total, and Pending Oct 1 + Received = On docket, On docket - Closed = Pending Sept 30 in each block), which supports the digit readings. No cell is illegible and nothing appears cut off by the crop.
