Reader’s notes

p. 33. The crop shows only the tail end of a table: two columns (stub plus a single unlabeled figure column) and six rows. No column headings appear anywhere on the image, so header_rows is empty. The crop is cut off at the top: immediately above the "Granted" row a thin sliver of another printed line is visible (only the lowest few pixels of the letters survive), so that line could not be read and is not transcribed. It is almost certainly a section/caption line or a preceding row label that governs the rows below; the rest of the table above it is outside the crop as well. Nothing is cut off at the bottom or on either side. All six figures (29, 6, 3, 1, 23, 13) are crisply printed and unambiguous, as are the row labels. "court's" is printed with a typographic apostrophe; it is written here with a plain apostrophe. Leader dots after each label were dropped as instructed. No footnote markers appear on any label or value, and no footnotes are printed in the crop. One caveat on provenance rather than on any specific cell: this page comes from the 1996 report scan, which is a lossy-compressed bitonal scan in which visually similar digits can in principle be substituted by the compressor. I checked each digit against its glyph shape at full resolution and found no suspect characters, but the single-digit values (6, 3, 1) carry slightly more residual risk than the rest.
