128 of 128 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out. 2 cells break a sum: 'Under Sec. 10(l) total', column 5: prints 21, columns 6 to 9 add to 18; '8(b)(4)(D)', column 5: prints 4, columns 6 to 9 add to 1.

Reader’s notes

p. 187. 12 columns. The stub column has no printed heading, so the stub cell is empty in both heading levels. "Total proceedings", "Total dispositions" and "Pending in district court Sept. 30, 1995" are tall single headings spanning both levels, so each is repeated in both rows; "Injunction proceedings" spans the two columns "Pending in district court Oct 1, 1994" and "Filed in district court fiscal year 1995"; "Disposition of injunctions" spans the six columns Granted through Inactive. Footnote marker: in the "Under Sec. 10(e) total" row the Total proceedings cell is printed as a small raised 1 followed by 3; I read it as the value 3 carrying footnote marker 1 (written "3^1"), which is consistent with 0 pending + 3 filed = 3 in that row. If the raised character were instead part of the number the cell would read 13, which would not reconcile; flagging the cell in case. Footnote text cut off: one footnote line begins below the last body row but the crop slices through its first line of type, leaving only the tops of the letters (something ending in "...of appeals"). It is not legible enough to transcribe, so `footnotes` is empty; there may also be further footnote lines below the crop. Stray marks: small dash-like specks sit in the left margin of the Granted column and inside the Denied column on the row "8(a)(1)(3)(5) 8(b)(1)(A) 8(b)(2)". They are scan artifacts, not minus signs; both cells are transcribed as 0. Arithmetic: every row's Total proceedings equals pending + filed, every Total dispositions equals the sum of the six disposition columns, and the subrow sums match the 10(j) and 10(l) total lines, so no misprints are suspected.
