247 of 247 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 181. 13 columns: stub + 4 single-level columns + three two-column union blocks under "Elections in which representation rights were won by" + a two-column block under "Elections in which no representative was chosen". Scan quality: this is a 1-bit scan in which many decimal points have dropped out, so numerous percent cells image as e.g. "20 8", "19 5", "100 0", "13 2", "8 0". Every such column is printed to one decimal place throughout, so I restored the decimal point (e.g. "20.8", "100.0"). No digits were altered. Dash rules: the cumulative-percent cell of the "Total RC and RM elections" row and every percent cell printed as a long dash rule (the cells beside a count of 0) are transcribed as "". Column-sum checks (all exact, printed values as transcribed): Number eligible to vote sums to 192,934; Total elections to 2,911; AFL-CIO Number to 1,284; Other national Number to 48; Other local Number to 136; no-representative Number to 1,443; and 1,284+48+136+1,443 = 2,911. The count columns are therefore well corroborated. Doubtful percent cells (digit ambiguous in the blur, and inconsistent with a recomputation from the counts, which elsewhere in these columns is exact): "10 to 19" / AFL-CIO Percent by size class reads 22.2 where 284/1,284 = 22.1; "20 to 29" / Other national Percent by size class reads 14.5 where 7/48 = 14.6; "30 to 39" / Other national Percent by size class reads 10.3 where 5/48 = 10.4; "50 to 59" / Other local Percent of size class reads 3.8 where 5/136 = 3.7; "80 to 89" / Other local Percent of size class reads 4.5 where 6/136 = 4.4. These are transcribed as I read them; each may be either a misprint or a misread last digit. Heading wording: the third-level heading over the Other local unions percent column is printed "Percent of size class" while the three analogous columns read "Percent by size class"; transcribed as printed. A stray short dash precedes "Number" in the AFL-CIO Number heading box; I read it as a printing/scan mark, not text, and omitted it. "A. Certification elections (RC and RM)" is a centred section line spanning the full table width and carries no values. Crop: the caption line is clipped at the top edge (excluded by instruction) and the body ends at "2,000 to 2,999" at the bottom rule — larger size classes and panels B and following continue on later pages. No footnotes are printed on this crop.
p. 182. Continuation page: 13 columns (stub + 12). The only heading printed on this crop is the panel spanner \"B. Decertification elections (RD)\", which sits above the top rule and spans all 12 numeric columns; the individual column headings (counts / percent / cumulative percent, and the union-group labels) are not on this image — they are on the preceding page — so nothing beyond the spanner has been supplied. The spanner's text is slightly clipped by the top edge of the crop but is legible. A stray ink dot sits in the stub area of the heading band; it is not text and the stub heading is left empty.\n\nDecimal points: the scan has lost or thinned many decimal points in the percent columns (cells read visually as \"1000\", \"28 1\", \"15 4\", \"7 4\", \"11 0\", \"6 7\", \"27\", \"1 8\", \"06\", \"09\", \"29\", \"22\", \"1 5\", \"2 2\"). Since every value in those columns is printed to one decimal place, the point has been restored (e.g. \"100.0\", \"28.1\"). No digits were altered.\n\nDoubtful cells: (a) row \"300 to 499\", last column (percent of the 345-election group) reads as three digits, \"30.6\"; this is inconsistent with the printed count of 2 out of 345 (~0.6) and with the neighbouring rows, so it is either a misprint in the original or a stray mark before \"0.6\" — transcribed as read. (b) Row \"90 to 99\", column 10 reads \"33.2\"; the final digit could be a 3 (2 of 6 = 33.3), though 33.2 makes that column's entries sum to exactly 100.0.\n\nDash rules (\"——\") appear in the \"Total RD elections\" row under the cumulative-percent column and throughout the two percent columns of the 1-election and 6-election groups, and in row \"140 to 149\" last column; all are rendered as empty cells per instructions.\n\nArithmetic checks pass: column 1 sums to 22,203; column 2 sums to 488; the group counts 136 + 1 + 6 + 345 = 488; the cumulative-percent column accumulates correctly to 100.0. The table ends at \"500 to 799\" — no rows are cut off at the bottom. The vertical word \"Appendix\" in the right margin is the running head and is omitted. The footnote line is partly clipped by the bottom edge of the crop but is readable.
