The stub has no printed heading; "Total" is a tall single heading spanning both heading levels. The six section lines ("All cases", "Unfair labor practice cases", etc.) are printed centred across the data columns and carry no values. The asterisk marker on the five "Pending October 1, 1993" totals is printed immediately BEFORE the figure (*27,433, *24,526, *2,659, *186); following the marker convention it is written after the value as ^*. The "Union-shop deauthorization cases / Pending October 1, 1993" row shows plain 53 with no asterisk. In the Union-shop deauthorization panel the AFL-CIO, Other national, Other local and Employers cells hold em-dash rules, transcribed as "". Every row cross-foots and every column of the "All cases" panel equals the sum of the five case-type panels, so no misprint is apparent anywhere in the grid. Footnote 1 appears to read "...cases not included See Table 22." — the period after "included" is not visible in the scan (it may be a dropped period rather than a true space); transcribed as it appears. Footnote 4's quotation marks around "on docket" and "closed" are printed as typewriter-style double quotes. Stray printing-artifact marks (a comma-like mark in the blank stub-heading area, dots above the "Union-shop" and "Amendment of certification" section lines) are not table content and are omitted.
