Reader’s notes
p. 225. 12 printed columns: stub, "Total proceedings", two "Injunction proceedings" columns, "Total dispositions", six "Disposition of injunctions" columns, and "Pending in district court Sept. 30, 1991". The stub column carries no printed heading, so its header cells are empty. In the "Under Sec. 10(e) total" row the "Total proceedings" cell is printed as a raised 1 followed by 0; I read the raised 1 as the footnote marker and the value as 0, giving "0^1". The footnote line at the very bottom is clipped by the crop (only the upper part of the letters shows); it reads "1 In courts of appeals." with high but not total certainty on the word "appeals". Minor scan specks appear in the "Dismissed" column of the "Under Sec. 10(e) total" row, in the "Pending in district court Oct. 1, 1990" column near the 8(a)(1)(3)(4) and "Under Sec. 10(l) total" rows, and above the "Total dispositions" heading; these are not characters and were ignored. The trailing colon-like mark after the 8(b)(1)(2) leader dots is likewise a scan artifact. The section labels are printed with a lowercase letter in "Under Sec. 10(j) total" and "Under Sec. 10(l) total"; the latter is the statutory section 10(l) (lowercase L), not 10(I). All rows are internally consistent as printed (pending + filed = total proceedings; the six disposition columns sum to total dispositions; subgroup rows sum to each section total), so no misprints are suspected.
