The crop is cut off at the bottom: the table ends mid-way through the geographic list, after the "West North Central" subtotal, and continues on the following page (South Atlantic, etc., plus the United States total). The stub heading carries a superscript 1, but the text of footnote 1 is below the crop and is not visible, so `footnotes` is empty. The scan carries several specks that can be mistaken for characters; in each case the arithmetic of the division subtotal confirms the reading given: - "Maine" (row 1 stub): a mark resembling the letters "ME" appears after the word "Maine" in the scan. No other state in the table carries a postal abbreviation, so I read it as an artifact and transcribed the label as "Maine". - New Hampshire, "Total votes for no union": printed with a leading apostrophe-like speck ("'407"); transcribed as 407 (125+105=230 union votes, 230+407=637 total valid votes). - Pennsylvania, "Valid votes cast for unions / Total": a trailing speck follows the figure ("5,182'"); transcribed as 5,182 (3,519+1,139+177+347=5,182). - West North Central, "...won by unions / AFL-CIO unions": printed as "-92" or "·92"; the state column sums to 92, so the leading mark is a speck, not a minus sign; transcribed as 92. - West North Central, "Total valid votes cast": printed as "- 13,274"; the state column sums to 13,274, so transcribed as 13,274 without the dash. - Kansas, "Valid votes cast for unions / Other local unions": printed as "- 0"; transcribed as 0. Kansas and Nebraska also show stray dots before the "Number of elections in which no representative was chosen" values (19 and 8); those dots are specks. Every one of the four division subtotal rows (New England, Middle Atlantic, East North Central, West North Central) was checked against the sum of its member states in all 16 numeric columns and agrees exactly, as do the internal identities (union-won + no-representative = total elections; the four union sub-columns = union total; union total + no-union votes = total valid votes cast). No misprints were found.

Continuation page of Table 15B (the caption carries "—Continued"); the crop begins mid-table with the South Atlantic division and ends with the Mountain division subtotal, so the Pacific/other divisions and the United States total are on adjacent pages, not here. No footnote text is printed on this crop, although the stub heading carries a raised "1" marker (recorded as "Division and State^1"). The second state row reads "Maryland" but a stray ink mark immediately before the M makes it look like "DMaryland" in the scan; transcribed as Maryland. The four division subtotal rows (South Atlantic, East South Central, West South Central, Mountain) are indented in the stub and set off by rules; they are transcribed with their printed indentation removed. Scattered stray specks sit in the number field (e.g. a dot left of "8,876" in the South Atlantic row, left of "337" in the District of Columbia row, left of "2,648" in the Kentucky row, left of "0" in several Other-national-unions cells, and before the "0" in the Colorado Other-national-unions cell); these are scan noise, not digits or footnote markers, and were not transcribed. Every row and every division subtotal balances internally (union wins + no representative = total elections; the four union columns sum to the won/votes totals; union votes + no-union votes = total valid votes cast; and each state column sums to its division subtotal), which confirms the column assignment.

The crop is a continuation page ("—Continued" in the caption) but the full column headings are reprinted on it, so they are transcribed. 17 columns: stub, "Total elections", a five-column span "Number of elections in which representation rights were won by unions", three tall single columns, a five-column span "Valid votes cast for unions", then two more tall single columns. "AFL-CIO" prints in the scan with a low/broken hyphen that can look like "AFL_CIO"; transcribed as AFL-CIO. Hyphenated wraps repaired: "Team-sters" -> Teamsters, "representa-tive" -> representative, "rep-resenta-tion" -> representation, "employ-ees" -> employees. In the California row there is a small stray dash printed between the "Other national unions" (4) and "Other local unions" (8) cells; it is a scan artifact, not a value or a minus sign, and is not transcribed. A similar stray tick appears in the California row label and below the "Total valid votes cast" heading; both ignored. All internal arithmetic checks out: the Pacific, Outlying Areas and grand-total rows equal the sums of their components, and each "Total" subcolumn equals its four union breakdowns, so no misprints are suspected.
