Final Outcome of Representation Elections in Cases Closed, Fiscal Year 1991

p. 201. 16 columns. The table is panel "A. All representation elections" of a larger table; the crop ends after the "Total representation elections" line, so any further panels (B, etc.) and the footnote texts are not on this image. In particular the superscript 2 on the "Total elections" heading has no visible footnote text in the crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Many value cells are printed as an em-dash rule (meaning none); per the transcription rule these are rendered as "". They are distinct in the original from the printed zeros, which are kept as "0" (e.g. "Teamsters v. Local" and "Local v. Local" in the two "no representative chosen" columns, and the 0s in the "AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. Teamsters" and "3 (or more)-union elections" rows). "3 (or more)-union elections" is a subtotal line but is printed flush with the data rows above it (no rule or blank line separating it); transcribed in its printed position and wording. Scan artifacts, not content: a stray ink dot precedes the "2" in the "Total elections" cell of "AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO" (value is 2); similar stray dots sit near "National v. Local" (col "Elections in which no representative chosen", value 1), near the last cell of "AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. Teamsters" (value 0), and in the "2-union elections" row near the 665 and 2,920 cells. The header "Teamsters" under "In units won by" also has a stray dot below it. Arithmetic check (no values altered): every subtotal and the grand total reconcile with their component rows in all 15 numeric columns, which corroborates the column assignments.

The crop is a continuation page ("—Continued" in the caption): it carries panels B and C only, and panel C is cut off by the bottom of the crop after the "1-union elections" subtotal, so the rest of the RM section (and any further panels) continues on the following page. No footnote texts are printed on this image; the footnote markers that do appear are the "1" on the caption's year (caption excluded per instructions) and the "2" on the "Total elections" column heading, which I have carried as "Total elections^2". Column structure: 16 printed columns. Two tall single headings sit between the spanner groups — "Elections in which no representative chosen" (column 9) and "In elections where no representative chosen" (column 16) — and inside "Employees eligible to vote" the "Total" and "In elections won" columns are tall headings beside the four-column "In units won by" spanner; these are repeated down the levels they span. Blank cells: most empty value cells are printed as an em-dash rule ("——") and are transcribed as "". These are distinct from printed zeros, which I kept as "0" (e.g. "Teamsters v. Local" and "Local v. Local" show 0 under both "no representative chosen" columns; the "3 (or more)-union elections" row shows 0 under Teamsters and Other national unions in both halves). Doubtful marks: in the "Teamsters v. Local" row the "In units won by: AFL-CIO unions" cell shows a dash rule with a small ink speck above it ("·——"); I read it as a dash rule, i.e. "". In panel C, the "Other national unions" row has a stray comma-like ink mark in the stub gutter just left of the "Total elections" value; the value itself reads 3. In panel C the "Teamsters" row label is followed by only two leader dots rather than a full run — a printing artifact, not a change of wording. Arithmetic: I did not alter any printed figure, and the printed figures are internally consistent where checkable — component columns sum to their "Total won"/"In elections won" columns, the four group subtotals sum to "Total RC elections", and won + no-representative equals the totals in every subtotal row. The percentages also match the printed counts, so I found no suspected misprints.

p. 203. Crop continues a table from the previous page: the body opens mid-way through the RM-case section (the 2-union block and the \"Total RM elections\" line), then section line \"D. Elections in RD cases\" starts the RD section. 16 columns.\n\nFaint/broken decimal points in the Percent won column, read from context and from the arithmetic: row \"AFL-CIO v. Teamsters\" (first, RM section) prints as \"100 0\" and is transcribed \"100.0\"; row \"1-union elections\" (RD section) prints as \"29 6\" and is transcribed \"29.6\" (167/565 = 29.6, consistent).\n\nThe section line reads \"D Elections in RD cases\" on the scan; the period after \"D\" is not clearly inked but is assumed present by analogy with the other lettered section heads in this table series. Likewise the label \"AFL-CIO v. National\" is followed by a dot that is part of the leader dots, not a footnote marker.\n\nStray ink artifacts, not transcribed as content: a dot before the \"2\" in Teamsters on the \"Total RM elections\" row and before the \"8\" in Other local unions on the \"Total RD elections\" row; a small dot left of the \"Total RM elections\" label; a bar/macron-like mark over \"9,537\" in the Employees-in-elections-won column of the \"AFL-CIO\" (RD) row; a pen-like stroke across the leader dots of the \"AFL-CIO v.
