p. 149. Eight printed columns: stub, Total, then six columns under the spanner "Identification of filing party". The stub column has no printed heading; "Total" is a tall single heading spanning both heading levels. "RC cases", "RM cases" and "RD cases" are centered section lines printed between the panel rules; they carry a label and no values. The five row labels repeat identically in each of the three sections. Em-dash rules ("——") are transcribed as "": in the RC and RD sections the Employers column is all dash rules, and in the RM section the five union/individual columns are all dash rules. Footnote markers: the raised asterisk is printed before the value ("*2,369", "*174", "**471") and has been written after the number behind a caret, per the convention. The table caption carried a superscript 1 (excluded with the caption), which footnote 1 answers. Possible misprints in the source, transcribed as printed: both the * and ** footnotes read "pending Sept. 30, 1990" where "last year's annual report" implies Sept. 30, 1989. The two footnotes also differ in punctuation as printed ("Sept. 30" vs "Sept 30"; "post report" vs "post-report"); sentence-ending periods are not visible in the scan after "definitions", "report" or "figures". Footnote text uses typographic quotes around "on docket" and "closed". In the RD section, "Pending September 30, 1990" row, Individuals column, a small ink speck sits just left of 437; it appears to be scanner noise rather than a footnote marker, so the cell is given as 437. The scan renders several dotted i's faintly (e.g. "Pending", "Identification", "filing"), but no digit was ambiguous. All five column entries sum to the printed Total in every data row of the RC and RD sections.
