p. 234. The crop shows only the body of the table: no column headings are printed on this image, so header_rows is empty. The grid has 16 columns (stub + 15 ruled data columns); by their arithmetic they are: number of elections; percent won by unions; elections won by unions (total); won by AFL-CIO; by Teamsters; by other national; by other local; elections lost by unions; valid votes cast; votes for unions (total); for AFL-CIO; for Teamsters; for other national; for other local; votes against. Top line: the centered section line "A. All representation elections" is sliced horizontally by the crop — only the lower half of the letters survives. The reading is legible and consistent with the lettered panel headings used in this table, but it is partly cut off; it is transcribed as a label-only row. Dropped decimal points: the percent column prints "48 7" for "Other national unions" and "45 4" for "1-union elections" (the period did not survive the scan). Transcribed as 48.7 and 45.4; both are confirmed by the data — 37/76 = 48.7 and 1,935/4,262 = 45.4. Row label "AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. Local": the second "v" is printed without a visible period (the companion row "AFL-CIO v. Local v. Local" shows both periods clearly); the period was supplied here, so the abbreviation may be bare "v" as printed. Em-dash rules (used throughout for "not applicable") are rendered as empty cells per instruction; printed zeros are kept as 0, and the distinction between the two is clear in the image (e.g. the 3-or-more-union rows print 0 where the 1- and 2-union rows print rules). Elections in RM cases" is incomplete (its multi-union rows and "Total RM elections" line continue on the following page), and no footnote texts appear on this image (the caption carries a superscript 1 and the "Total elections" heading a superscript 2, but their notes are printed elsewhere). Columns: 16 printed columns. The long em-dash rules used throughout for "none" are transcribed as empty cells per instruction; printed zeros are kept as 0. Note this means a dash and a 0 are distinguished in the source (e.g. in "AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. Local" the Teamsters and Other national columns show dashes while Other local shows 0). Doubtful characters, all resolved against the printed totals: - Teamsters (RC section), "Percent won": the decimal point is broken in the scan and reads "41 8"; transcribed 41.8 (435/1,041 = 41.8). - "AFL-CIO v. Local v. Local", "Percent won": decimal point faint, reads "100 0"; transcribed 100.0. - "AFL-CIO v. National" and "AFL-CIO v. Local" row labels: the period after "v" is faint/absent in the scan; written with "v." to match the other rows in the block. - "Other local unions" in section C, "Total won": a small raised dot/speck precedes the 2 ("·2"). It appears to be scanner dirt rather than a footnote marker (no matching footnote is visible, and 2/6 = 33.3 matches the printed percent); transcribed as 2. All row and column totals in the RC panel were checked and are internally consistent as transcribed; no misprints found.

p. 236. Orientation: the table is printed sideways on the page (rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise relative to reading orientation); the crop was not uprighted. I transcribed it in reading orientation: the stub "Participating unions" band runs along the bottom of the image and the column headings along the left edge. Continuation page: the crop begins in the middle of the RM-cases section, so the four 1-union category rows for RM (AFL-CIO, Teamsters, Other national unions, Other local unions) are on the preceding page; the first row here is their "1-union elections" subtotal. The caption/"Continued" line is above the crop. Column headings: "Elections won by unions" is a top-level heading that, by its printed width, spans only the four union-type columns (AFL-CIO unions, Teamsters, Other national unions, Other local unions), mirroring "In units won by" on the employees side; "Percent won" and "Total won" read as tall standalone headings spanning all heading levels. This is the one structural judgement I am least sure of — if the span is wider it would also cover "Percent won" and "Total won". "Total elections" carries a small raised digit I read as 2 (written "Total elections^2"). The footnote text itself is not printed on this crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Dash rules ("—") marking not-applicable cells are transcribed as "" throughout; printed zeros are kept as 0. The table distinguishes the two consistently (a union that took part but won nothing shows 0, e.g. AFL-CIO = 0 in "AFL-CIO v. Teamsters"; a union not party to the election shows a dash). Doubtful cells: (a) "Teamsters v. Teamsters", column "In elections won" (employees) — the printed glyph is faint at this scale; I read 0, which is required by the column's 2-union subtotal of 894 (22+764+7+0+101) and matches the 0 printed for that row under "Total won". (b) "Teamsters v. Local" (RM panel), column "Teamsters" under "In units won by" — read as 0 rather than a dash, by analogy with the 0 printed for the same row in the "Teamsters" elections-won column. (c) The section line reads "D Elections in RD cases"; I have written "D. Elections in RD cases" because the period after the D is faint but appears present. All printed totals and subtotals cross-check: row sums (component unions to "Total won" / "In elections won"), column sums (1-union and 2-union components to their subtotals and to the RM/RD totals), the identity Total elections = Total won + Elections with no representative chosen, the identity Employees total = In elections won + In elections where no representative chosen, and the Percent won figures. No misprints found.
