p. 230. 12 columns: stub, "Total elections", then Number/Percent pairs under each of the five spanner headings. The stub column has no printed heading. DROPPED DECIMAL POINTS. This is a 1-bit scan and the period has failed to render in six percent cells, which print as a digit, a gap, then a digit. I have restored the decimal point in each, because every one is confirmed by the table's own arithmetic. The affected cells, as they appear on the image / as transcribed: - All representation elections, Objections only Percent: "9 5" / 9.5 (432 of 4,566 = 9.46) - In RC cases, Objections only Percent: "9 6" / 9.6 (365 of 3,809 = 9.58) - In RM cases, Total objections Percent: "16 0" / 16.0 (20 of 125 = 16.00) - Consent elections, Total objections Percent: "13 1" / 13.1 (11 of 84 = 13.10) - Expedited elections, Objections only Percent: "0 0" / 0.0 - Expedited elections, Challenges only Percent: "0 0" / 0.0 SUSPECTED MISPRINT, "Board-directed elections" row. All five percents in that row are understated by a factor of ten, as though the base used were 100 rather than the printed 10 elections: 4 of 10 is printed as 4.0 rather than 40.0, 0 of 10 as 0.0, 2 of 10 as 2.0 rather than 20.0, 6 of 10 as 6.0 rather than 60.0, and 2 of 10 as 2.0 rather than 20.0. Transcribed as printed. The row's counts themselves are sound: they sum correctly into the column totals, and 10 is correct for Total elections. ARITHMETIC CHECKS, all passing. The three "By type of case" rows sum to the "All representation elections" row in every column (3,809+125+632=4,566; 365+15+52=432; 143+10+23=176; 89+5+10=104; 454+20+62=536; 232+15+33=280). The five "By type of election" rows sum to the same totals (84+3,758+6+708+10=4,566; 9+319+0+100+4=432; and so on). Within every row, Total objections equals Objections only plus Objections and challenges, and Total challenges equals Challenges only plus Objections and challenges. All percents except the Board-directed row agree with their counts. This cross-checking is the main reason for my confidence in the digits and in the column each one sits under. FOOTNOTES CUT BY THE CROP. The footnote line is sliced through mid-glyph at the bottom edge, leaving only the upper halves of the letters, so footnote 1 above is a tentative reading from letter tops rather than a clean transcription; treat its exact wording as unverified. Footnote 2, called out by the marker on the "Total challenges" heading, falls entirely below the crop and is not on this image.
