Reader’s notes
p. 225. Eleven printed columns: the stub plus five case groups (All R, RC, RM, RD, UD), each with a "Number of cases" and a "Percent of cases closed" column. A double rule separates the RD pair from the UD pair; it is a visual divider only, not an extra column. A small stray speck sits just above the "100.0" in the RC "Percent of cases closed" cell of the total row; it appears to be a scan artifact (dust/ink fleck), not a footnote marker, and was not transcribed. Internal consistency checks all pass against the printed totals: every "Number of cases" column's five stage entries sum to the printed total (7,567; 6,078; 312; 1,177; 159). Percent columns sum to 100.0 except RM, whose stage percentages sum to 99.9 (53.8+29.8+3.8+12.5+0.0) — ordinary rounding, transcribed exactly as printed. The table caption carries a raised 1 footnote marker, but the caption itself is excluded per instructions; the corresponding footnote text is reported in `footnotes`.
