p. 209. Four columns: stub plus "Cases in which formal actions taken" and the two-column spanner "Formal actions taken by type of case" (AC, UC). Printed arithmetic does not reconcile in several rows; all values are transcribed exactly as printed, not corrected. Column 1 vs. AC+UC: Hearings completed 107 vs 102; Decisions issued after hearing 115 vs 110; By Regional Directors 110 vs 105; By Board 6 vs 5; Transferred by Regional Directors for initial decision 3 vs 2; Requests for review received 13 vs 17 (column 1 is smaller than the sum here); Board action on requests ruled upon, total 16 vs 15; Denied 8 vs 7. The remaining rows (Granted, Remanded, Withdrawn after request granted, Board decision after review, Affirmed, Modified, Reversed) do add up. Also, the two sub-rows under "Decisions issued after hearing" sum to 116 in column 1 against the printed 115, while their AC (5) and UC (105) sub-totals do agree. The three "Granted/Denied/Remanded" lines sum to 16 / 1 / 14, matching "Board action on requests ruled upon, total". Both readings of the doubtful digits were checked on a second viewing and are unchanged; the discrepancies appear to be in the printed source rather than the scan, but 13 vs 17 (Requests for review received, column 1) and 14 vs 15 (Board action on requests ruled upon, UC) are the cells where a misprint or a scan artifact is most plausible. Stray ink specks, transcribed as not part of the values: two small marks to the left of the 5 in the AC column on "By Regional Directors", and a dot to the left of the 0 in the UC column on "Withdrawn before request ruled upon". The row labels are followed by leader dots, which have been dropped; some leader runs are broken by scan dropout (e.g. "Decisions issued after hearing", "Denied", "Modified"), which does not affect the wording. The footnote line is clipped by the bottom edge of the crop — only the upper half of its letters shows — but it is legible as "See Glossary of terms for definitions." The caption carries a raised 1 referring to this footnote; the caption itself is omitted per instructions.
