The caption carries a superscript 1, but no footnote text appears within the crop (the table ends at the bottom rule under "Total representation elections"), so `footnotes` is empty. All dash rules ("——") are transcribed as empty cells; printed zeros are kept as 0. In the AFL-CIO row, the "Other national unions" cell under "elections won" shows a dash rule with a small ink speck beside it; I read it as a dash (empty), not a digit or footnote marker. Row-label wording kept as printed, including the inconsistent abbreviation of "v." — "National v Local" and "AFL-CIO v Teamsters v. Local" have no period after the first "v", while the other versus-rows do. Arithmetic verification (not used to alter any cell): every subtotal and the grand total reproduce exactly from their component rows, each panel's "Total" equals the sum of its four union columns, and each row's total valid votes equals won + no-union-won + lost + no-union-lost. No misprints detected.

p. 237. 14 columns: stub, "Total valid votes cast" (a tall heading spanning all three heading levels), then the six-column "elections won" panel and the six-column "elections lost" panel, each made of a five-column "Votes for unions" group plus a tall "Total votes for no union" column. The caption carries a footnote marker (1) but no footnote text is printed on this crop; part A of the table and the footnotes are on other pages. "B. Elections in RC cases" is a centred section line with no values. Cells printed as a dash rule (------) are rendered as ""; printed zeros are kept as 0. Row labels print the union name with an en dash (AFL–CIO), transcribed here with a hyphen. Two labels appear to lack the period after the first "v": "Teamsters v Local" and "AFL-CIO v Teamsters v. National"; they are transcribed as printed, but the mark is faint at this resolution. "Teamsters v. National." and a few other labels end with a period that runs into the leader dots; trailing periods were dropped with the leaders. Cells printed as a long dash rule (meaning not applicable) are transcribed as "" throughout; printed zeros are kept as 0. At this scan resolution a few dash cells in the C-section 1-union rows are faint, but all of them map to "" either way. Doubtful label: the third row of the 2-union block in section C reads to me as "AFL-CIO v. Teamsters", which duplicates the first row of that block. Its data pattern (dash rules in both the won and lost "AFL-CIO unions" columns, 41 votes in the won "Teamsters" column) matches a Teamsters-only pairing, so the printed label may actually be "Teamsters v. Teamsters" or a similar pairing that does not involve the AFL-CIO. Transcribed as read, not corrected; worth checking against the source. In the "3 (or more)-union elections" row there is a small stray apostrophe-like mark immediately left of the 0 in the "elections lost / Total" column. I read it as a scanning artifact or a broken column rule rather than a footnote marker, and transcribed the cell as 0. Crop: the table continues past the bottom of the image. The last row, "AFL-CIO v. Local" in section D, is clipped along its baseline; its last column (elections lost, "Total votes for no union") shows nothing legible and is left as "", although the row's other figures (198 + 25 + 0) against the 223 total imply a printed 0 there. The rest of that row is legible. The caption carries footnote marker 1, but no footnote text is printed within this crop, so the footnote list is empty. Arithmetic check (reported, not applied): every subtotal and the "Total RM elections" line reconciles with its component rows and with the row totals as transcribed; no misprints found in the numbers.

p. 239. The crop is the foot of a longer table: only the last data line ("AFL-CIO v. Local"), the "2-union elections" subtotal line and the "Total RD elections" line are present, so the rows above them are on the preceding page(s). Column headings are printed on this crop and are transcribed. Em-dash rules (printed as "——") in the "AFL-CIO v. Local" row are given as empty cells: columns "AFL-CIO unions", "Teamsters" and "Other national unions" in both the elections-won and the elections-lost blocks. The scan renders many dotless i's (e.g. "Partıcıpatıng unions", "ın elections lost", "no unıon"); these are read as ordinary "i". All printed subtotals and totals in the three rows are internally consistent (e.g. 5,037+1,160+145+379 = 6,721; 6,721+3,551+5,476+12,493 = 28,241), so no misprints are suspected.
