Reader’s notes
p. 230. Eight data columns: four two-column panels (Total rerun elections^2 / Union certified / No union chosen / Outcome of original election reversed), each split into Number and Percent by type. The raised 2 sits on the first spanner heading ("Total rerun elections"), so it is carried in both of that panel's heading cells; the raised 1 in the caption is omitted per instructions but its text is given as footnote 1. In the "Expedited elections" row every "Percent by type" cell holds a long dash rule rather than a number, transcribed as "" (the Number cells are printed zeros). The "No union chosen" heading is typeset with "No" centered on the first line and "union"/"chosen" on the second; it reads as one heading. Scan artifacts make some dotted i's look dotless (e.g. "Stipulated", "Director-directed", "representation"); normal spellings transcribed. The table's leader-dot runs are irregular (stray dots and dashes after some labels) but no label text is obscured. No internal arithmetic conflicts noted: panel Numbers sum to the Total column in every row.
