Reader’s notes

p. 227. The table is one grid of 17 columns: the stub plus four four-column panels (All R, RC, RM, RD elections), each panel's four columns sitting under a spanning "Elections conducted" banner. The footnote marker 1 is printed only on the All R panel's "Resulting in certification" heading; the other three panels repeat the heading without a marker. In every "Rerun required" / "Runoff required" row the cells other than "Resulting in a rerun or runoff" carry a printed dash rule (------), transcribed as empty cells per instructions. In those rows the All R and RC panels print the counts (67 reruns, 23 runoffs overall), while the RM and RD panels print 0. The scan shows a few stray specks that are not characters: a small mark before "Total elections" in the RM panel's column heading, and faint flecks in the RM "Rerun required"/"Runoff required" cells of the Consent elections block and in the RD "Rerun required" cell of the Expedited block; none of these alter the values. Row labels are followed by long leader-dot runs of varying density, which are dropped. No arithmetic was checked or corrected; values are as printed. Note for the reader that the "All types" row's "Resulting in certification" figures (4,153 All R) are smaller than Total minus Withdrawn minus Rerun would give, consistent with the footnote's exclusion of UD-case elections.
