Reader’s notes
p. 231. Nine columns: stub plus four two-column panels (Number / Percent by type) under "Total rerun elections^2", "Union certified", "No union chosen", "Outcome of original election reversed". The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. Doubtful cell: "Stipulated elections", Union certified / Percent by type. It reads 47.0 in the scan, but 47.0 + 63.0 = 110.0 rather than 100.0, and 17 of 46 is 37.0 percent, so the printed glyph is likely a 3 that has thickened into a 4 (or an original misprint). Transcribed as it appears (47.0) without correction. The two section labels ("By type of case", "By type of election") end in a punctuation mark that is degraded in the scan: the first looks like a period and the second like a single raised dot. Both are almost certainly colons in the original typesetting, and I have transcribed them as colons. Dash rules ("------") in the Percent by type columns for RM cases, Consent elections and all four Expedited elections cells are transcribed as empty strings, per instruction; the Expedited elections row does carry printed zeros in every Number column. Column totals are internally consistent: the five "by type of election" rows sum to 67 / 22 / 45 / 31, matching the "All representation elections" line.
