Reader’s notes
p. 230. Eight columns: stub plus three single columns (Objections filed / withdrawn / ruled upon) and two spanner groups (Overruled, Sustained^2), each split into Number and Percent of total ruled upon. The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. Row "RC cases", column "Sustained^2 / Percent of total ruled upon": printed as "24 0" — the decimal point did not reproduce in the scan; transcribed as "24.0" to match the one-decimal format of every other percent in the table (and 76.0 + 24.0 = 100). Row "Expedited elections": the two percent cells hold a dash rule (——) rather than a value, so both are given as "". The Number cells in that row are printed zeros and are kept as 0. Scan artifacts in row labels (dotless "i" in "Stipulated", "Director", "Regional Director-directed", "Board-directed") are a reproduction defect of this 1-bit scan, not the printed spelling; labels are given with their normal spelling. The footnote marker 1 printed on the table caption ("Fiscal Year 1987^1") is not carried into the grid because the caption is excluded; footnote 1 itself is transcribed.
