The stub heading is blank on this page. "RC cases", "RM cases" and "RD cases" are centred section lines carrying no values; their non-stub cells are empty. Cells printed as a dash rule (an em-dash/box rule meaning "not applicable") are transcribed as "": the whole Employers column in the RC and RD blocks, and the five filing-party columns in the RM block. Arithmetic as printed (nothing was corrected): in the RC block, Pending Oct 1 + Received (1,829 + 5,036 = 6,865) exceeds the printed On docket figure of 6,864, and the AFL-CIO column likewise gives 1,158 + 2,934 = 4,092 against the printed 4,091. The printed On docket row is internally consistent (4,091 + 1,923 + 233 + 603 + 14 = 6,864) and matches Closed + Pending Sept 30 (5,052 + 1,812 = 6,864; 2,973 + 1,118 = 4,091), so the one-unit gap sits between the receipts rows and the On docket row. RM and RD blocks balance exactly. Scan-legibility items: the RM block's last row label images as "Pendmg September 30, 1987" and the footnote as "denfinitions"; both are broken-type artefacts of this 1-bit scan and are transcribed with the intended spellings "Pending" and "definitions".
