The crop is the first part of the table only: it ends after the "West North Central" division total, and the remaining divisions (South Atlantic, etc.) and the U.S. total continue beyond the crop. The stub heading carries footnote marker 1, but no footnote text is printed within the crop, so `footnotes` is empty. Two faint ink specks are scan artifacts, not digits or markers: one just above the "0" in the Maine row under "Number of elections ... won by unions / Total", and a short stroke above the "661" in the Ohio row under "Eligible employees in units choosing representation". Both cells are transcribed as the printed values 0 and 661. "AFL-CIO" is printed with an en dash (AFL–CIO); transcribed with a plain hyphen. Division subtotal rows (New England, Middle Atlantic, East North Central, West North Central) are printed indented and set off by rules; all internal cross-checks of these subtotals against their member states sum correctly, so no misprints are suspected.

Doubtful glyphs, all resolved by cross-footing against the printed division subtotals: Kentucky, "Number of elections in which no representative was chosen" — the digit is printed in a slanted/damaged face resembling "1"; read as 7 (12 total − 5 won, and 7+12+9+2 = 30 = printed East South Central subtotal). Kentucky, "Valid votes cast for unions / Total" — prints as a broken "2!1"; read as 211 (127+70+14 = 211). West Virginia, "Valid votes cast for unions / Total" — ink-filled second digit; read as 88 (80+8 = 88). All row values foot to the printed South Atlantic, East South Central and West South Central subtotals in every column; no internal inconsistencies were found.

Continuation page of Table 15C: the body begins mid-table with Nevada (the rest of the Mountain division states are on the preceding page), so "Mountain", "Pacific" and "Outlying Areas" are indented division subtotal lines and the last row is the grand total. Doubtful cell: Pacific row, "Eligible employees in units choosing representation" column, is printed as "2 167" with the digit-grouping comma faint or dropped in the scan; transcribed as "2,167". The column sums for the Pacific states (327+493+1,289+0+58+0) equal 2,167, which supports that reading. In the footnote the periods in "U.S." are very faint in the scan (it reads close to "U S"); transcribed as "U.S.". No terminal period is visible at the end of the footnote, so none was added. All visible internal sums (Pacific and the union-vote breakdowns) check out as printed; no suspected misprints. "AFL-CIO" is set with an en dash in the headings and transcribed with a hyphen.
