Reader’s notes
p. 253. Seven data columns plus the stub; the stub column has no printed heading, so the stub cells of both heading levels are empty. "Objections filed", "Objections withdrawn" and "Objections ruled upon" are tall single headings spanning both levels; "Overruled" and "Sustained^2" each span the two columns "Number" / "Percent of total ruled upon". The scan systematically drops small dots: the dots over "i" are missing throughout (the printed text reads "ObJectIons", "SustaIned", "StIpulated"), and sentence-ending periods in the footnotes are not visible. On that evidence I have restored the decimal points in the percent columns (printed as e.g. "75 0", "74 6") and the sentence periods in the footnotes. All percentages check out against the adjacent counts (408/544 = 75.0, 346/464 = 74.6, 9/13 = 69.2, 296/395 = 74.9, 99/131 = 75.6, etc.), which confirms the missing marks are decimal points rather than printed spaces. Row "Expedited elections": both percent cells hold a long dash rule rather than a value, transcribed as empty; the four count cells are printed zeros. Footnote marker 1 is attached to the caption ("Fiscal Year 1986^1"), which is excluded from the grid per instructions; marker 2 is attached to the "Sustained" column heading and is carried there.
