Eight printed columns: stub, Total, and six columns under the spanner "Identification of filing party" (AFL-CIO unions, Teamsters, Other national unions, Other local unions, Individuals, Employers). "Total" is a tall heading spanning both heading levels; the stub has no printed heading, so its heading cells are empty. "RC cases", "RM cases", and "RD cases" are centered section headings printed above each band of five rows; they carry no values, so their other cells are empty. The asterisk printed immediately before 1,960 (RC), 213 (RM), and 467 (RD) in the Total column is the footnote marker defined under the table; it is recorded after the value as ^*. Dash rules ("------") fill the Employers column in the RC and RD bands and the five union/individual columns in the RM band; these are transcribed as empty cells. Printed zeros in the RD "Pending October 1, 1985" row (Teamsters and Other national unions) are kept as 0. Punctuation in the footnotes is faint in this scan: the sentence-ending periods after "definitions", "Sept", "annual report", and "figures" are not clearly resolvable at this resolution. I transcribed "Sept." and "annual report." with the periods that the typography implies; the trailing periods after "definitions" and "figures" were not legible and are omitted. The hyphen in "AFL-CIO" prints like a short dash in the scan; transcribed as a plain hyphen. Arithmetic check (not applied to any cell, reported only): every row's six component columns sum to its printed Total, and in each band pending + received = on docket = closed + pending at year end. No misprints detected.
