p. 210. 12 columns: stub + 5 "Number of proceedings" columns + 4 "Percentages" columns + 2 cumulative columns ("Number", "Percent"). Periods are systematically dropped or faint in this scan. I restored them where the reading is unambiguous: the percentage cells render as "100 0", "83 7", "64 2" etc. and are transcribed as "100.0", "83.7", "64.2"; the stub labels render as "U S courts of appeals" / "U S Supreme Court" and are transcribed as "U.S."; the spanner renders as "July 5, 1937-Sept 30, 1985" and is transcribed with "Sept.". The column heads render as "Vs em-ploy-ers only" / "Vs unions only" with no visible period after "Vs"; I left "Vs" bare, but the original print may read "Vs." there as well. Likewise the sentence-ending periods in footnote 1 (after "1964" and after "definitions") are not visible in the scan; I restored the one after "1964" and left the trailing one off. Dash rules ("--") stand in for suppressed percentage and cumulative figures; those cells are "". The whole "Board dismissal" percentage column is a dash rule for the Supreme Court block (rows "Proceedings decided by U.S. Supreme Court" through "Contempt cases enforced"), and all four percentage columns plus both cumulative columns are dash rules on the "Proceedings decided by U.S. courts of appeals" row. For the contempt block ("On petitions for contempt" and its five sub-rows), only the "Vs employers only" and "Vs unions only" percentage columns carry values; "Vs both employers and unions", "Board dismissal", "Number" and "Percent" are dash rules. Row-label indentation (three levels in the printed stub) is not preserved in the grid; section rows such as "On petitions for review and/or enforcement" and "On petitions for contempt" carry values and are transcribed as ordinary data rows. Arithmetic cross-checks pass throughout (component counts sum to each total, and percentage columns sum to 100.0), with one trivial exception: cumulative "Board orders affirmed with modification" under the Supreme Court shows 18 of 242 = 7.4 percent but is printed as 7.5. Transcribed as printed. Two stray marks that are not data: a small speck in the "Vs both employers and unions" count column on the "Proceedings decided by U.S. courts of appeals" row (left of the printed 1), and a short dash left of the 0 in that same column on the "Board orders set aside" row of the courts-of-appeals block. Neither is a footnote marker or a digit; both cells are transcribed from the printed figure alone.
